Hello all! My name is Courtney Davenport.
My interest in survival and preparedness began as a kid when I learned about Native Americans, who survived by not wasting anything. As I got older, I learned of other pre-modern (pre-electicity, before indoor plumbing, and other such modern conveniences) methods of existence.
I found them fascinating in so many ways. Many of these methods, have been mostly forgotten in the sands of time.
I have lived in Florida most of my life, so the majority of my interest in preparedness and survival started out centralized around being ready for the worst during and after a hurricane.
As time passed, I came across other things within the realm of possibility, altering my preparedness and survival research to get me as prepared as possible to survive the worst case scenario.
There are a number of things in the world these days that have concerned me over time and have impacted my decision to create my own prepping plans. Generally, the way I have it setup is so that my preparations can be used for any number of potential situations with a small bit of variation depending on if the situation is from a natural disaster or a man-made disaster.
Everyone has busy schedules and sometimes the concern of natural or man-made disasters only is top of mind when something actually happens, which is the worst time to start coming up with plans.
My hope is that you may find benefit from what I have learned with the content on this site. I hope to provide you and your family/friends/survival group with common sense ways to prepare yourselves for a situation where these preparations are needed. Sometimes, more drastic measures are required depending on your situation, but my goal is to provide information that can be useful for everyone, especially those just starting their journey and not get overwhelmed.
Please let me know if there is a topic of interest to you that you don’t see any information on, so I can continue to bring value to you and all who visit this website. Here is my Contact Page for ways to reach out to me.
